New Features and Changes in PSv5!
- Today Screen Pulgin: A low profile plugin can be enabled right on your Today Screen. Features a convenient Battery Meter that when tapped, will start Pocket Secure and lock the device!
- Password Protected Options: When this feature is enabled, the current password will be needed before gaining access to the options screens!
- Password Screen "Owner Notes": Up to 4 lines and approximately 15 words can be entered in the Device Owner Info "Notes" fields, that will display in place of the PS logo on the main password screen.
- Encrypted Password Storage: The program password is no longer stored as plain text, but is specially encrypted and cannot be accessed or seen by anything besides the program itself!
- Caller ID Display: When the program is active on phone devices, an incoming call will display a skinnable Caller ID box. Info in this display is from the address book, and can be tapped to answer and end a call without unlocking the device!
- Active Notification Icon Display: Up to 3 skinnable images can be displayed on the main locked screen, for Alerts, E-Mail, SMS and Missed Calls. The indicators will increment the number of notifications received while the device is secured!
- User Chosen Program Sounds: Wave format sound files can be stored anywhere on the device, and loaded for 7 different program features, including Notify, SMS, Missed Call, E-Mail Received, Keypad Buttons, Lock & Shutdown!
- Hide Owner Info Option: The Owner Info that is entered in the device is also displayed on the About Screen in the registered version. Some users who do not want this visible can choose Hide Owner which will display Private Owner in the place of the info!
- Encrypt Whole Storage Card or Folder: Extended option to select a whole folder or up to the whole storage card for at once encryption!
- Existing Encrypted File Search: An option added to find and decrypt any existing encrypted files. If a hard reset is done while files are encrypted, then they will no longer be on the list This option will allow that!
- Protect Encrypted Files: Encrypted files are protected from Rename, Copy & Move. This helps to keep the list current and accurate. Before, if files were moved, etc, then PS could not find and decrypt! If move copy, etc is tried, and error message will display, and relocate / change file back to original!
- Integrated Help Popup Screens: All features within PS will have a Popup Help Box immediately available for feature instructions. Just tap on the ‘feature text’, read & close. The html help will still be available when PS is not active!
- Disable WM AutoRun Ability: As some are aware of, if you make a folder on a storage card named '2577', and add a file named 'autorun.exe', this file will be run when the storage card is inserted. This file can be a 'malicious script' that is capable of most anything! For greater security, the AutoRun ability will be Disabled while PS is running, and re-enabled when PS is closed!
- Disable Bluetooth: As an extra level of security, Bluetooth communications can now be set to automatically disable when PS is running.
- Notification Sound Announcement: A new .WAV sound file has been added to the PS Sounds folder, that will play when a new alarm notification is received. This sound can be changed to any WAV file, but the name must remain the same!
- Notification "Repeat" Sound: Checking this box, will repeat the Notification Sound once every 30 seconds until the notification is acknowledged and cleared!
- Keypad "Button" Sound: Checking this box, will play the chosen sound when the number buttons on the Keypad are tapped!
- Shutdown After Inactivity Lock: An additional option added to the Inactivity delay, that if checked will shutdown the device immediately after locking from inactivity!
- Increased Inactivity Delay: From max 99 min to 999 min. However, and extended delay may be hard to achieve, because there is more of a chance of some sys activity during the delay time!
- Charge / AC Power Sensing: An automatic feature that will sense AC power, and prevent Shutdown when locked After Inactivity is activated!
- Increased Auto-Off Delay: This feature is now increased from the maximum of 99 min to 999 min.
- Progress Meter & Please Wait Dialogue: Because PS can now encrypt many more files at one time, a progress meter is added for the Long Term Encryption status, and a pop-up Please Wait box for when PS is auto-encrypting / decrypting Short Term files during program start and shutdown!
- 'DLL' Added to Ignore List Filter : Previously, the user could only add EXE files to the Ignore list Now the ability to add DLL’s have been added also!
- Main Screen 'Font Shadow': This feature will place the choice of a 'Black' or 'White" shadow on the Date & Time on the main screen. This will aid in visibility over diferent background images!
- Extra Large Keypad Buttons: With large buttons for 'Finger Input', the keypad is now truely Full Screen in both Portrait & Landscape modes!
- "Password Confirm" Added to Long Encrypt: To help prevent mistakes in typing a password for the Long Encryption of a file, the user will now have to 'Confirm' the entered password!
- Disable Password Feature: Password can be disabled to just use the program for screen protection, Slide Show or other cases where security is not an issue.
- Extended Program Trial Period: The Trial version of PS has now been extended to (7) days. During this time, the program will be 'fully functional' just like the registered version.
- Total of 45 Skin Images: Now PS contains a total of 45 images that can be skinned to the users preference. Formats include BMP, JPG, GIF & PNG, and can be used in any combination within the skin!

With feature options such as 'File Encryption' and 'Automatic Hard Reset' from password tampering, Pocket Secure v5.0 is now armed with multi-levels of protection to ensure your data and personal info will be safe & 'secure'!
Pocket Secure is compatible with virtually all 2003, 2003SE WM5 & WM6, Pocket PC & PPC Phone Edition Devices. The new v5.0 is available in VGA (480x640) & QVGA (240x320) resolutions.
